2019 State Street Waterline Replacement

Project will involve the installation of about: 883 feet of 8” ductile iron pipe waterline in the shoulder of the West side of State Street from 4500 South to Edison Avenue; 1,393 feet of 8” ductile iron pipe waterline on the East side of State Street in the sidewalk to just North of Fireclay Avenue; 127 feet of 8” ductile iron pipe connecting the new waterline from the East side of State Street to the existing waterline on Fireclay Avenue on the West side; and 800 feet of 8” waterline from the new waterline on the East side of State street through the parking lot of Sherwin Williams then turns south through their back lot connecting to the water system of Cottonwood Coves development including a new meter box. The waterlines paralleling State Street on the East and West side will replace the existing waterlines in place, therefore the existing pipelines will have to be removed and disposed of. Because the lines will be replaced in place, the contractor will have to provide a temporary service plan to continually provide water for the customers along State Street during construction. Each of the projects also may include connecting existing or installing new water services on the new waterline, furnishing and installing fire hydrants and sampling stations, connection materials and miscellaneous appurtenances.
