Description

Separate, sealed bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction of the aforementioned project. The Major Items of Work Consist of: 1. Traffic Control (Includes Temporary Striping); 2. Milling Asphalt Concrete Pavement; 284,220 SY 3. Recycled Asphalt Concrete: Patching, 12.5MM, Perma Flex and Bituminous Tack; 35,983 tons 4. Thermoplastic Striping Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the County. Work is as specified in the Bid Document and is to be done in accordance with current GDOT standards and specifications. No bid will be accepted from a bidder who has not obtained a set of bid documents from the above-mentioned office. No bid will be accepted from a bidder who does not meet the pre-qualification requirements outlined in paragraph B.01. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Owner reserves the right to waive any formality or informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be for the best interest of Owner. Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor shall perform all work as specified or indicated in the contract documents for the completion of the project generally described as Mill and Inlay. The Owner shall not be liable to the Contractor for any neglect, default, delay or interference of or by any other contractor, nor shall any such neglect, default, delay or interference of any other contract or alteration which may be required in the work, release the Contractor from the obligation to finish the work within the time allowed.
