Description | The Project consists of upgrades to the Kings Plaza Pump Station including new submersible sewage pumps, interior piping, electrical upgrades, and metering upgrades. Improvements to the building structure and site are located in the Valu Home Centers Plaza off West Main Street Road (NYS Route 5) in the Town of Batavia. This project also includes the installation of a new 12-inch force main from the pump station to the City of Batavia collection system, and new 8-inch gravity sewer main and manholes. Also included is the installation of a new 6-inch force main along West Main Street Road (NYS Route 5). There is also a new metering manhole on Edgewood Drive as well as telemetry communications Bids will be received for 3 separate contracts as follows: Contract A - Kings Plaza Pump Station Upgrades - General Construction Contract B - Kings Plaza Pump Station Upgrades - Electrical Construction Contract C - West Main Street Road Force Main & Kings Plaza Pump Station Force Main Replacements - General Construction The Owner reserves the right to award Construction Contracts separately to 3 different Contractors or separately to the same Contractor. It is not a requirement to bid on all Contracts. Separate bonds will be required for each Contract if multiple Contracts are awarded to the same Contractor. Contract A: $450,000 Contract B: $250,000 Contract C: $1,050,000 Total: $1,750,000 Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Only Bidders receiving bid documents from the Issuing Office (electronic or printed) will be allowed to submit a bid to be considered for award. A pre-bid conference will NOT be held. Only written Requests For Information (RFI) will be accepted. RFI's will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. (Local Time) on June 16, 2023, at the office of the Engineer to the attention of Brandon Moore via email: BMoore@CPLteam.com. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on June 20, 2023, from the office of the Engineer. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. This project is partially funded by New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYS EFC). Prospective bidders should review the requirements included in the contract documents. This project is partially funded under New York State Homes and Community Renewal, Community Development Program and is subject to the applicable clauses described in the Section 3 Policy Manual and other CDBG requirements included in the Contract Documents. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11,246 and 11,375 which prohibit discrimination in employmentregarding race, creed, color,sex, or national origin. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations. Statement of Non-Collusion: Bidders on the contract are required to execute a non-collusive bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. |
