Description | **As of February 9, 2023, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $5,048,109.98** The purpose of this bid package is to provide the County of Ocean with a contractor(s) who has the ability to successfully complete the tasks required as set forth in the specifications of this project: Replacement of Colonial Drive Bridges (Structure No. 1518-017 and 1518-018), Colonial Drive North and South over Union Branch of Toms River, Manchester Township Inquiries prior to bids in accordance with this Subsection shall be addressed to: Lukasz Praski, Ocean County Engineering Department, 129 Hooper Ave., PO Box 2191, Toms River, NJ 08754, Telephone: 732-929-2130. Inquiries after award of contract shall be addressed to: Local Aid District 3 Office, Pavan Sheth, Project Management Specialist 3, 1035 Parkway Avenue, PO Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625, Telephone: 609-963-1886. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of the existing twin, two-span, 52' long, concrete and timber parallel bridges, with twin parallel single span, 62' long precast box beam bridges with a reinforced concrete deck wearing surface, reinforced concrete abutments, and footings supported by driven steel Hpiles. The work also consists of the construction of a permanent cofferdam, temporary sheeting, stand-alone steel utility crossing, relocation of an existing water main, minor drainage, approach roadway reconstruction, new curbing, sidewalk, permanent and temporary ADA ramps, as well as new guide rail. Construction shall be staged utilizing median crossovers with temporary pavement to allow a single bridge replacement at a time while simultaneously allowing two-way traffic on the adjacent structure. |
