Description

Three options for each park must be submitted including prices for each, allstructures must use a separate Bid Schedule found on page 8 of this document. A top view plan and color, 3D drawings (front and reverse view) showing the proposed equipment must be submitted as part of the vendor's proposal package. The playground must be designed by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector. Play structures shall meet all provisions of the most recent revisions of both the CPSC Handbook for Public Playground Safety and ASTM F1487 Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use, and be purchased from an IPEMA certified manufacturer. Playground safety surface must meet or exceed all industry standards for head impact attenuation (ASTM F 1292). All equipment must consist of new and unused material. The play structures shall be constructed of steel or aluminum posts, with PVC coated steps, including all transfer points and decks. Wood shall not be permitted. All proposals shall be fully compliant with CPSC guidelines, F 1487 ASTM standards and IPEMA certified. All equipment shall be compliant with the full intent of all ADA guidelines for accessibility, play components and design. Playground must be designed and installed so that all industry standards concerning safety of appropriate users are met. All surfacing shall be compliant with the intent of the ADA as well as all applicable CPSC and ASTM requirements. The prices listed must include all costs of the equipment, including any vendor discounts, installation, surfacing material and all freight charges. All ASTM and CPSC recommended signage must be included and installed as part of the bid.
