Austin HQ Crime Lab Renovations

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Interior demolition and renovation of portions of the first floor HVAC system, lighting replacement for part of the building, and pathways for access control and data connections. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: A. Demolition of some walls, doors, electrical, mechanical, casework removal, and concrete ramp removal. B. Reconfigure the floor plan area as indicated on the construction documents. C. Some ceiling grid/ tile work, fur-down, and lighting. D. Finish work for walls and flooring. E. New exterior door/ windows as indicated. F. Mechanical and electrical work as indicated. E. Additional requirements during construction 1. Upon award, prior to construction, the Contractor is to provide a detailed Critical Path Schedule (CPS) for review and approval by DPS. The CPS must list all construction activities required to complete the project, the dependencies between the activities and the estimated time (duration) that each activity will take to complete. The CPS must be available in an electronic format and updated electronically weekly during construction and DPS will be provided with an electronic copy. 2. The Contractor shall submit Weekly Update Reports/ Photos electronically to the DPS Facilities Project Manager. 3. Contractor is to clean all area within the scope of work prior to final completion walkthrough. 4. Contractor is to coordinate once a month construction project meeting with DPS and project team.
