Description

The City of Plymouth is investigating ways to improve water quality and drainage within the Plum Tree East neighborhood. This project is located north of 46th Avenue North and east of Merrimac Lane North and Merrimac Court North. The project site has a stormwater pond and wetland within the southern extent of the area and transitions to a defined channel in the northern portion of the project area. The southern portion of the project would improve drainage in the rear yards by cleaning out the stormwater pond and by reestablishing a channel through the wetland. In the northern portion of the project ditch stabilization, rock vanes and revegetation would help reduce erosion concerns. The primary goal for this project is to reduce backyard flooding and to improve water quality in the downstream waters.
