| Description | Location of Work: The manholes to be rehabilitated under this contract are located along the southerly edge of the east bound lanes (in the grass area adjacent to the roadway shoulder) of the Atlantic City Expressway at approximately the following locations: Mile Markers 21.1, 20.3, 20.1, 19.9, 19.6, 18.5, 18.0, 17.6, 16.4, 16.0, 15.6, 15.3, 14.9, 14.2, 13.8, 13.5, 13.1 and 12.1. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally include, but not limited to, the following: Nine (9) existing Air Release Manholes and nine (9) existing Cleanout Manholes shall be modified. Work includes: installation and removal of traffic control (if awarded) at each manhole location, the removal, collection, transport and disposal of accumulated water/wastewater in manhole and/or force main pipe; removal of existing force main and appurtenances within and to a point approximately four feet (4`) outside of the manhole; installation of new ductile iron pipe (DIP) and appurtenances in the manhole; connection of new DIP to existing High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) force main pipe; installation of new air release valve (if awarded), installation of new force main line valve (if awarded), excavation, backfill and compaction as required and surface restoration of disturbed areas. Base Bid Manholes at MM 21.1, 20.3, 20.1, 19.9, 19.6, 18.5, 18.0, 17.6, 15.6, 14.2, 13.5 and 13.1. Add Alternate No.1 Furnish and install new stainless-steel air-release valve. Add Alternate No.2 Furnish and install 6-inch force main plug valve (line valve). Add Alternate No.3 Manholes at MM 16.4, 16.0 and 15.3. Add Alternate No.4 Manholes at MM 14.9, 13.8 and 12.1. Add Alternate No.5 Traffic Control for Base Bid Manhole Locations. Add Alternate No.6 Traffic Control for Add Alternate No. 3 Manhole Locations. Add Alternate No.7 Traffic Control for Add Alternate No. 4 Manhole Locations. | ||||
