Description | Staff will evaluate responses and present a recommendation to the City Council for consideration and approval at a properly scheduled meeting of the governing body. DRAWING AND CONSTRUCTION OF SLUDGE STORAGE BUILDING SMALL BUSINESSES AND MINORITY BUSINESSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO BID BID ENVELOPES SHALL BE CLEARLY MARKED "SEALED BID" WITH THE BIDDER'S N A M E & A P P R O P R I AT E SOLICITATION NUMBER (C22- 45) CLEARLY SHOWN ON FRONT OF THE ENVELOPE. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award more than one contract. Any bid received after the time set for the opening of bids, shall not be considered by the awarding agency, and shall be returned unopened to the bidder submitting same. The Miami Special Utility Authority is seeking a contractor to submit drawings and construction costs to build a sludge drying and storage building per the specifications below. o 40' X 30' Building o 60" wide by 36" deep 3000 PSI concrete Footing reinforced with (10) #4 rebar continuous. o 6" Slab with 3500 PSI concrete, reinforced with #4 Rebar on 24" centers over 4" of compacted rock. o Open on one 30' side o 12' X 12" 3500 PSI Concrete Walls on 3 sides, reinforced with #4 rebar on 12" centers each way. o 4' of overhang on open end. o All Metal Gabled Roof. This project is to be bid total and complete and Contractor will be satisfied of project expectations before a bid is submitted. Though the MSUA is seeking a total price bid, bidders must submit a listing of materials, to include quantities, with the bid submission. Construction will not begin until drawings have been reviewed by staff, approved by the MSUA, and a Notice to Proceed has been signed by all parties. All work performed shall be inspected by the project manager. Materials and workmanship shall be tested on a random basis by the contractor, project manager and/or MSUA engineer. Near the end of the project, a walk through will be conducted with onsite inspector(s) to develop a punch list of remaining items to complete. |
