Description | Construction Services for Pleasant Point Reservation, Emergency Shoreline Protection: The Pleasant Point emergency shoreline protection involves constructing a stone revetment along 1,500 linear feet of shoreline, which endures a 20-foot tidal range, located in front of tribal housing and other tribal facilities on the Pleasant Point Reservation. The original revetment was constructed in the 1980s, but has since deteriorated. This project intends to rebuild the structure entirely by placing new 1-ton stones and associated cobble and gravel filter layers in order to protect the shoreline. The work for this project will also include the modification of up to 5 storm-water drains that will extend through the structure. Staging areas will be located on the Pleasant Point Reservation, which is owned by the Passamaquoddy Tribe (project sponsor). The Passamaquoddy Tribe has adopted Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) |
