Description | This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 337127. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial services: LABORATORY BENCHES, CABINETS AND SHELVING W/ INSTALLATION Description of requirements is as follows: Please refer to the attached Statement of Need for full technical specifications/requirements. See attached full Combined Synopsis with all terms and conditions which all vendors must be in compliance with to be eligible for award. Vendors must provide their Will or Will Not and Does or Does Not Statement per FAR Provision 52.204-24 which goes with FAR Clause 52.204-25. At a minimum, all quotes should include contact information and CAGE Code. BACKGROUND / SCOPE / MISSION: The National Marine Fisheries Service laboratory at 212 Rogers Ave. Milford CT has a requirement for new laboratory benches, cabinets, and shelving to be installed for the renovation of the molecular lab (Building 1, Room 17). INTENDED USE / PURPOSE: Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, insurance, shipping, installation and supervision for two (2) lab benches with flammable cabinets. Each lab bench must meet and/or exceed the following salient and functional requirements: Must be chemical resistant bench tops, epoxy resin, phenolic resin, or similar Casework should be painted steel or phenolic No sinks or gas hook-ups are needed on either unit. Bench tops must be 40 inches tall Units must have bottom cabinets with doors Units must have inclusions for chairs/sitting with minimal or no lip on the underside of the benchtop 2-3 spaces for sitting on each side of island and 3-4 spaces along wall unit 2 separate units are required Unit 1 (island unit) must be between 132" and 140" long by 72" wide Unit 1 must come with drop down power pole and 120V electrical outlets built in Unit 1 must have open-air above bench shelving in the middle Unit 1 must have an under the bench flammables cabinet Unit 2 (wall unit) must be between 156" and 162" long by 30-32" wide. Custom fit to the irregular corner shape Wall mounted (into cinder block) above bench cabinets along half of the bench Glass front cabinet doors with casework to match cabinets All methods, materials and workmanship provided by the Contractor under this contract shall be performed in accordance with professional industry standards, manufacturer's specifications and shall comply with applicable codes for construction.
