The cost estimate is $1.35M for the water line portion and $280K for the sidewalk portion of this project. Any questions submitted after this time and date will not be addressed. This project generally consists of constructing approximately 1,874 LF of 12" PVC water main pipe by open trench construction and approximately 1,970 LF of 12" PVC water main pipe by trenchless construction methods. This project also provides for the looping of a small section of 8" water main to an existing 6" water main. Additionally, this project includes the construction of approximately 2,761 SY of 4" thick concrete sidewalk in the parkway as Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within ten (10) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to the City of Southlake in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds, bound to the City of Southlake are required, each in an amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials.
