Description | The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to construct Water Plant No. 1 and No. 2 MCC and Generator Replacement including but not limited to mobilization, bonds and insurance; installation, maintenance, and record keeping of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan; and the items as specified below. The work at Water Plant No. 1 includes the installation of a 450 kW Diesel Generator complete with a concrete foundation and walkway platform; replacement of the existing motor control center with a NEMA 1 Motor Control Center; construction of a new CMU block Motor Control Center building, complete with a roof, doors with panic hardware openings for the air conditioning units, and all other accessories; installation of service entrance equipment including a main breaker, Type 1 surge protection device, and an Automatic Transfer Switch with annunciator; installation of underground conduit; installation of an autosensory panel; PLC Programming by Jones|Carter; installation of 15 KVA and 35 KVA transformers and 24 circuit and 42 circuit lighting panels; demolition of the existing service pole and entrance service enclosures, the existing diesel generator and fuel tank, the existing Motor Control Center after the completion of electrical bypass at Water Plant No. 2, the existing autodialer, and the surge arrestor; site preparation and drainage including regrading the site near the proposed MCC building; installation of a service pole; extension of the existing on-site crushed concrete access road; installation of air conditioning units in the MCC building; installation of flood lights at the existing MCC building; miscellaneous electrical including the replacement of the wall pack flight fixture, and the re-routing of conduits for electrical equipment at the existing MCC building; and all else shown on the construction drawings and detailed in the specifications for a fully functioning Water Plant. The work at Water Plant No. 2 includes the replacement of the existing motor control center with a NEMA 1 Motor Control Center; installation of an autosensory panel; PLC Programming by Jones|Carter; demolition of the existing Motor Control Center, the existing lighting transformer and lighting panel, the existing well pump enclosure and the existing wood shelf; temporary electrical bypass using the existing Motor Control Center at Water Plant No. 1 as the “TEMP-MCC” at Water Plant No. 2, the installation of a plywood panel, and the relocation of electrical equipment in the existing MCC building; miscellaneous electrical including a foundation and sun shield for the “TEMP-MCC”, and the re-routing of conduits for electrical equipment at the existing MCC building; and all else shown on the construction drawings and detailed in the specifications for a fully functioning Water Plant. |
