Description

Demolition of the existing building of approximately 35,000 square feet located at 90 Harding Road in Old Greenwich, CT. The original plans of the existing building are available for review by the Contractor prior to demolition. The Contractor is responsible for reviewing the hazardous and regulated materials reports attached to this RFB document to determine the full scope of demolition and abatement. Construction of the new Eastern Greenwich Civic Center (EGCC), a one-story building of approximately 35,000 square feet, including site work on the same parcel, in approximately the same location as the existing building. The new building is a "threshold Building" which will require the Contractor to schedule the Owner's Independent Special Inspection services and the Owner's Independent Materials Testing Agency to inspect the work and to obtain material samples during construction of the project. Material samples will be evaluated by independent testing labs for quality verification. Uninterrupted public access to the existing tennis courts shall be maintained by the Contractor throughout the construction period. Site Work on a separate parcel containing the EGCC parking lot for approximately 220 cars, including storm water infrastructure, underground utilities, regrading, paving, site lighting, fencing, plantings, and other landscape improvements. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plants, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all items necessary to perform all work required for the completion of both the demolition of the existing building and construction of the new building.
