Porter County Bridge No. 272 and 273

The preventative maintenance work shall consist of sounding the existing bridge deck, repairing any unsound surfaces with partial depth patching, steel shot blasting to ensure proper bonding between the treatment system and concrete substrate, constructing polymeric thin deck overlay, replacement of existing north and south bridge approach slabs and sidewalks, removing and replacing existing north and south "SS" Joint with pre-compressed foam joint, removing existing "SQ" drain extension, and replacing removed drain extension with reinforced thermosetting resin pipe or cast-iron drain pipe. The existing railing may be temporarily removed and reset as necessary to accommodate the work. The project will also include maintenance of traffic via lane restrictions on Willowcreek/Crisman Road. The work includes the carrying out of all duties and obligations and the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary or convenient to the successful completion of the project.
