Description | Contract Description: This project includes roofing removal and replacement on multiple roofs at Milwaukee County's General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The work areas include the Concourse D stem, portions of the Concourse D Hammerhead, and other areas. Included in this contract is removal of existing roofing membranes, ballast, and insulation, and replacement with new fully adhered vapor barriers, insulation, and membrane. If the Base Bid only is awarded, the contractor shall have a total of 150 consecutive calendar days to substantially complete the project, excluding punch list. If any or all additive alternatives are awarded, the contractor shall have a total of 180 consecutive calendar days to substantially complete the project, excluding punch list. Project funded by FAA Milwaukee County project bid summary results will be posted on the Bid Express site and Milwaukee County web site For Federally Funded Contracts wage rates are established pursuant to Federal Labor Determination and Provisions. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project is 25 percent. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS PROJECT ALL REQUIRED TBE-14 / DBE-14 FORMS SHALL BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY PRIME AND SUBMITTED AS INDICATED IN INVITATION TO BID. Bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity" (Executive Order 11246), contained in the Bid Documents, which set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area. PRIME CONTRACTORS SHALL BE QUALIFIED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 43 OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY ORDINANCE. Bidders shall submit the completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry with the Bid. Failure to submit this information with Bid may result in rejection of the Bid as non-responsive. A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with bid. The low responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves right to reject bid, to waive informalities in bid or to accept bid which will be in best interest of Owner. Base Bid shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 120 days after bid due date. |
