| Description | Demolish and tear off existing low slope built-up roofing system. Clean and prep existing metal roof deck to receive new roof system. Remove and replace roof accessories, flashings, fascia, trim, cap, etc. Install 1/2” gypsum fiber roof board with a vapor barrier, mechanically attached to the metal roof deck for temporary dry-in of the roof. Install 1/4” tapered rigid roof insulation panels, fully adhered over a vapor barrier as required. Install fully adhered 1/2” cover board over the tapered roof insulation. Provide new two-ply modified bitumen low slope roof membrane system as specified. Alternate scope to include provision of a 60 mil TPO single-ply roof surface membrane in lieu of a two-ply modified bitumen system. Refer to the Facility Improvement Program narrative and technical specifications for additional requirements. |
