Description

Waterline rehabilitation of approximately 4,420 LF of 8-inch pipe and 3,200 LF of 10-inch pipe complete with fire hydrants and valves. The construction also includes approximately 78 service re-connections. Accompany Bids with acceptable Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable without recourse to the City, or a Bid Bond of like amount from an approved surety company, as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order No. 11375, and as Supplemental in Department of Labor regulations 41 CFR part 60. "Qualified Minority, Women and Disadvantaged, and Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) firms are invited to participate in the bidding process." This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD). Applicable requirements include, but are not limited to, compliance with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Fair Labor Standards Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority and disadvantage firms, as detailed in this project manual
