Rehabilitation of Runway 9L-27R Touchdown Zone Keel Repair

The project can generally be described: Rehabilitation of Runway 9L-27R keel section in the touchdown zone for Runway 9L. The project work consists of milling and overlaying a 50-foot-wide keel section for approximately 2,250 feet of the Runway between Taxiway B2 and Taxiway B4. The work also includes crack sealing on the milled surface, grooving the new asphalt, and reestablishing runway markings. The time of completion for the project is anticipated to be 5 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion (excluding Mobilization/Shop Drawing Approval Period). An additional 10 calendar days of night work will be required 30-days later to achieve Final Completion in order to complete the pavement grooving and permanent markings.
