Georgia Agricultural and Exposition Center HVAC Renovations at Reaves Arena

Qualified General and Mechanical Contractors interested in bidding on the project shall have been in business for a minimum of seven (7) years, successfully completed a minimum of three (3) similar construction projects. A list of all similar renovation and modification projects along with all other projects completed or currently under construction under the firm name during the last five (5) years shall be provided with bid package to justify qualifications. Such list shall contain as a minimum the Engineer, owner, project name, building type, project type, building size, total project costs, change order costs, notice- to-proceed date and substantial completion date. A roster containing the names of all those Contractors attending the conference will be compiled and verification of a Bidders' attendance at the conference will be required before acceptance of his/her Bid. Bids from Contractors not attending the Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted The work includes but is not limited to: o Demolition of six (6) existing DX split systems with hot water heat. o Construction of four (4) structural steel and concrete structures to support four (4) new packaged DX systems with hot water heat. o A new control system. o New electrical circuits extended as shown. o Testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) work as specified Only bids received from Contractors registered with the Engineer will be accepted. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
