Description | **As of December 7, 2022, project was awarded to JFS Inc. awarded amount is $1,227,996.60** The Project includes the following Work: The work generally includes the reconstruction of two York County Bridges: Bridge No. 166 and 237. Bridge No. 166 carries School House Road (T-819) over Davidson Run in Dover Township. Bridge No. 237 carries Lost Hollow Road (T-861) over North Branch Bermudian Creek in Franklin Township. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Bridge Bundle No. 2 - West Anticipated Notice to Proceed is expected in late November 2022, construction needs to be substantially completed by September 4, 2023. ; Final completion- September 29, 2023. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via electronically in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Clarification deadline 10/19/2022 4:00 PM Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act (the Act) which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for each Contract is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). All bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, sex, age, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Similarly the successful bidder shall in no manner discriminate against or intimidate any employee involved in the manufacture of supplies, the performance of work, or any other activity required under the contract on account of gender, race, creed or color. York County reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of York County, and to reject any or all proposals. |
