Description | Plans call for the conversion of the former elementary school into a 20 unit multi-family residential housing development located in Berlin, NH. Please note, all construction activities related to the housing development are bid separately. The project shall be referred to as Brown School Rehabilitation. The scope of services in support of this residential development project will be constructed in (17) contracts. Bidders must submit on all divisions which are defined and outlined as follows: dumpsters, demo, asbestos abatement, plumbing, mechanical, sprinkler, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, General Building & Finish work, masonry, sitework, cameras & door controls, flooring, building materials and appliances. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site(s) and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its Bid. Wage rates on the project shall not be less than the federal wage scale published by the U.S. Department of Labor. This project is subject to Davis Bacon Wage Rates, Coos County, Residential and Associated Provisions. Bidders on this work shall be required to comply with the provisions of the Presidents Executive Order No. 11246, as amended. The New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority has adopted a goal of 6.9% participation for minority and women owned businesses for construction related or purchase related contracts for the work. |
