Construction/Fire Protection MATOC - Design-Build (DB)/Design-Bid-Build (DBB)

Contractors will be required to provide all personnel, equipment and materials and dedicated A-E support, where required, to perform a wide range of general construction and fire protection construction activities including but not limited to design analysis, fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre-action, ESFR, and CMSA), water supplies (fire pumps, tanks and underground water mains), low and high expansion foam, gaseous (carbon dioxide and clean agents) special hazards protection, and fire alarm systems (detection, reporting, and mass communication), vertical and horizontal construction activities, including site work, utilities, concrete, masonry, roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, paving, etc. CONTRACT TYPE: The planned solicitation will result in two Firm-Fixed Price MATOC pools with a total capacity of $99M ($49.5M for each MATOC pool) for DB or DBB construction with emphasis on fire protection activities. Each pool will include a target of five (5) contractors in the MATOC pool. MATOC “A” will primarily cover facilities east of the Mississippi River and MATOC “B” will primarily cover facilities west of the Mississippi River. The contracts will include a three-year base period and one two-year optional period.
