Description | Refurbishment of the snow removal building at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport consisting of the re-roofing of the Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building, consisting of approximately 36,000 SF (includes main building and two small additions). This project also includes the following interior improvements: repair/replacement of the existing infrared heaters, exhaust fans and louvers in the main shop area, siding repair of damaged sections, LED conversions of the existing light fixtures, new entrance doors and replacing the HVAC system equipment for the maintenance offices building addition and storage wing of the SRE. 2. Replacement of the existing exterior windows throughout the facility with new, energy efficient windows that meet the prescriptive requirements of the 2018 International Energy Code (Current Energy Code Version adopted in the state of Texas.) 3. Replacement of the existing ductwork in the two building additions/annexes. The existing ductwork is showing signs of leakage and degradation due to age. The replacement of existing ductwork will be a replacement in-kind of existing ducts. 4. Replacement or repair of exterior doors throughout the facility. The design will evaluate the condition of all exterior "man" doors and recommend repairs or replacement of the doors to reduce air leakage of the building envelope. The existing roll-up doors in the main SRE bay are included. 5. Repair or replacement of existing building envelope insulation. The design will evaluate the thermal integrity of the building envelope, using thermal imaging camera technology, to identify “hot spots” or weak areas of the building insulation, relative to the overall building insulation performance. |
