Route 602 Reconstruction - 20-RD-001 - Accomack County

Improvements planned for Route 602 (Lee Street) in Accomack County include addressing the existing width, curvature and drainage deficiencies. Paved 4-foot wide shoulders will be added to accommodate bicycle riders. The project extends from the Northampton County line, east to the intersection with Route 178 (Belle Haven Road), a length of approximately 0.55 miles. The project is included in the Accomack County's FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of August 16, 2022, construction is set to begin Fall 2022. Per VDOT in design phase but no engineer is noted as of yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
