Hunter Branch Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge over the Clove Creek

The project proposes to assemble and erect a prefabricated steel truss, supplied by others, on new concrete footings to allow for pedestrian and bike traffic along the trail over Clove Creek. The new footings will be constructed behind existing stone abutment and embankments. Portions of the existing laid up stone wingwalls will be removed and replaced with medium stone fill. There is no existing structure at the site, and the trail will be constructed by others. The contract includes the construction of a temporary access driveway and tree clearing as needed for the construction staging area. Delivery of the truss is anticipated to be in July 2022, and it will be the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate the process for timely assembly and erection upon delivery.
