Description

The purpose of this Scope-of-Work is to contract with suppliers to furnish conditioning/emulsion polymer chemicals to be used for biosolids dewatering at the Dorsey Run AWWTP. The Dorsey Run AWWTP serves the State of Maryland correctional complex and is located at 7938 Brock Bridge Road, Jessup, Anne Arundel County, Maryland 20794. The required polymer is to successfully condition the Dorsey Run AWWTP’s liquid sludge prior to dewatering. Belt filer presses are currently used at the Dorsey Run AWWTP for dewatering a primary/secondary (waste activated) sludge blend. The dewatered cake is subsequently lime stabilized and land applied. The estimated annual amount of polymer required is approximately 21,000 pounds per year.
