Description | MEDVAMC has a requirement for the following Chiller Motor Replacement: Replace the motor on a 450-ton York water-cooled unit 480 volt, 3 phase VFD started unit. Make: YORK Model: YKCFCFQ7-CNF Serial Number: SFTM-928930. This will require removal and replacement of the motor with a new motor and motor wiring assembly. The unit will then need to be turned on and allowed to warm up. Once operational temperature is reached the chiller will be started and placed into operation. This includes putting at least 90 % load on the unit for a minimum of one hour. The unit will then be diagnosed for any refrigerant or oil leaks. All control parameters on the chiller control board will be scrolled through and analyzed to ensure they are all within parameter. A complete report of any deficiencies will be provided to the COR and must be repaired for any of the noted deficiencies. As part of this contract the contractor will have the old motor refurbished. The contractor will have the old motor sent to a qualified motor repair shop and have it disassembled and rewound, reinsulated and recoated. All of the internal parts shall be replaced or refurbished and the entire motor shall be reassembled, repainted, and returned to the VA. The Contractor shall remove the chiller from service by locking out and tagging out the unit and isolating it electrically and hydronically in order to perform the work under this Contract. After being restored to service, the Contractor shall verify the proper function of the chiller and repairs. |
