Description 1. Unless otherwise indicated, painting is not required on surfaces in concealed and inaccessible areas, such as furred spaces, foundation spaces, utility tunnels and pipe spaces. 2. Metal surfaces of anodized aluminum, stainless steel, chromium plate, copper, bronze and similar finished materials will not require painting, unless otherwise indicated. 3. Do not paint any moving parts of operating units, mechanical or electrical parts, such as, valve operators, linkages, sensing devices and motor shafts, unless otherwise indicated. 4. Do not paint over any required labels or equipment identification, performance rating, name or nomenclature plates. 5. Exterior work. Scaffolding is not required.
