Description | This Sale and Purchase of Goods and Materials Contract will provide the City of Poway with asphalt, aggregates and related materials on an as-needed basis. Hot asphalt/asphalt products will be picked up from the plant by City vehicles and/or contract trucking, and all other materials shall be delivered by the vendor or picked up by the City. The asphalt plant must be within twenty (20) driving miles of the City of Poway and have the capability to provide 200 tons or more of product per day. Suppliers of the aggregates and related materials must be within thirty (30) driving miles or less to the City of Poway. No bid will be accepted unless it is on the bid forms which are included the bid documents. Engineer's Estimated Cost: $30,000 to $300,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Standard Contract Length: The City will enter into a one (1) year Sale and Purchase of Goods and Materials Contract. The Contract may be extended with a total of four (4) separate one-year term extensions. The maximum length of the contract can be five (5) years. The option to renew is subject to appropriation of funds. Each renewal period, the Contractor's costs shall be adjusted based on the following: The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or all items or to waive any irregularities in the bid or Request for Bids process. The determination of the City as to what constitutes an irregularity shall be final and conclusive. |
