Generator and Installation

The Miami CBP Argicultural Canine Facility was built in 1975. This facility is owned and operated by CBP. CBP Facilities staff has identified that an on-site emergency generator system is required at this location to meet current CBP facility standards. CBP is requesting qualified vendors provide an estimate for installing a new on-site generator with the following components: • Install new on-site generator with built in fuel tank (final sizing to be determined by vendor) that provides enough power to support all existing building loads. Initial assumption is that a 50 KW Automatic Standby Diesel Generator with fuel tank will be required. • Install new 200 amp automatic transfer switch with service disconnect. • Fuel storage tank capacity should be sized to ensure that on-site generator can operate at least 65 hours of uninterrupted during power outage. • Install new 6 inch concrete pad at rear of building to support new generator installation. • Make all necessary tie-ins to existing power panel. • Contractor will be required to obtain all necessary permits to meet local requirements. • All interested vendors should plan on visiting site to confirm existing conditions.
