Description | Requesting bids for the replacement of two (2) mini split AC units at the County's downtown campus. Scope of Work Contractor shall provide and install new mini-split units. The unit shall be Mitsubishi with the outdoor units having a model number of PUY-A24NHA7 and the indoor units having a model number of PKA-A24KA7. Provide front, side and rear wind baffles for the exterior units, MHK2 wireless controllers, refrigerant line-sets as needed, new outdoor disconnects and flex conduit, new condensate pump and exterior mounting pad for the North building unit and wiring and all other ancillary components needed to provide new and fully functioning systems. The specified equipment is meant to show minimum equipment standards and specifications. The contractor may bid alternate equipment that meets or exceeds the standards and specifications of the listed equipment. If bidding alternate equipment you must provide information with your bid that compares the units bid vs the units specified. The County will be the sole judge of equivalency. Failure to provide the comparison may result in the rejection of your bid. Scope of services shall include the following items: Demo and site clear existing HVAC units. The existing Justice Center unit is a Liebert Datamate split unit and the North building unit is a Bryant split unit. Site clear the exterior mounting pad for the North building unit, however save and re-use the concrete mounting pad for the Justice Center Unit. Both existing units are powered by 208 volt single phase 20 amp circuits. Salvage xisting electrical power systems as much as possible for re-use on the new units. Provide new exterior disconnects (fused if required by code), new exterior flex conduit, and as needed, wiring, breakers, connectors or any other ancillary items as needed to properly wire new units. Securely fasten exterior units to the mounting pads to prevent movement or tipping of the units. Mount the interior units in same general location of the existing units. Install new condensate pump for North building unit and connect drain lines from new unit as needed. Connect the condensate drain line for the new unit in the Justice Center to the existing drain line piping. Modify piping as needed Install wireless controller for each unit in location to be specified by owner. Charge systems with refrigerant to meet manufactures specifications. All equipment shall be installed to manufactures standards and recommendations. Schedule work to minimize system downtime from demolition of the old unit to the startup of the new units as much as is reasonable possible. Contractor shall be responsible for all required permits. Provide system start up and verify units are working properly. |
