2022 Landfill Gas Collection System and Perimeter Leachate System Modifications for Bedwell Bayfront Park

The scope of work in the Bedwell Bayfront Park Landfill includes replacing, modifying, and upgrading portions of the existing landfill gas collection system (LGCS) and perimeter leachate system (PLS) to improve performance, integrate with park uses, and extend their operating lives. The scope of Landfill Gas Collection System (LGCS) work includes decommissioning 26 existing non-functioning landfill gas (LFG) extraction wells and pipe sections, drilling and installing approximately 500 feet of new LFG extraction wells, installing 46 replacement and 16 new wellheads of various types, and approximately 11,200 linear feet of 6-inch, 2-inch and 1-inch diameter high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe below ground, with utility boxes, pneumatic condensate and leachate pumps, and ancillary connections. The scope of Perimeter Leachate System (PLS) work includes repairing/refurbishing 12 existing perimeter leachate sump pump stations, including pump control and distribution panels, wiring, discharge piping, and a force main back-flow check valve. The scope includes landfill cover regrading and restoration, and other incidentals as necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and as specified in the special provisions.
