Description | This requirement is for the replacement of four (4) Water-to-Water Heat Pumps at the Oakland Airport, California. The FAA is exempt from state and local taxes; this exemption, however, does not pass through to the contractor. The contractor therefore will be responsible for all state, local, and other applicable taxes. All contractors must have an active registration in SAM (sam.gov) in order to receive award. All contractors must be in compliance with Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors in SAM, per the attached hyperlink, (https://sam.gov/opp/a34bc81db63642a6ae27089e6c86f15b/view). This solicitation is a total small business set-aside for NAICS Code: 238220-Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning. Small Business Size Standard: $19M The estimated Project Magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $600,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for this requirement. All pre-construction submittals must be approved before issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). A site visit is scheduled for March 09, 2023, at 1:00pm PT. Proposals are due no later than March 31st, 2023, at 5:00pm PT. Any proposal received after 5:00pm PT on March 31st, 2023, will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for award. 00001 The Architectural portion of the work is limited. The work includes patching and repairing interior finishes affected by the replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment. Mechanical includes replacing the water-to-water ground source heat pumps and integrating new heat pumps into the existing control system. Mechanical controls include integrating the new GSHP packaged controls using a BACnet network interface to integrate all necessary control and monitoring points into the existing Tracer Summit system. The Electrical scope includes replacing/reconnecting power circuitry where required to support the project's mechanical scope and providing new VFDs to selected mechanical equipment. Structural portion of work is limited. Structural is to provide new heat pump concrete housekeeping pads and anchorage. Pipe supports will be a delegated design provided by the Contractor, details provided as a general guideline to delegated design. This summary does not cover all aspects of the work.
