Description

The project generally consists of the removal of existing storefront glazing, ramp, and escalator systems; infill of floor area at escalator removal, and installation of new automated egress systems (exit lane breach control) at north and south concourses. Note that relocation of existing TSA equipment is assumed to be completed prior to this project. The project will be bid as a Base Bid with three alternates. Prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must be bonded and insured to the level indicated in the Contract Documents. A Federal DBE participation goal is included in the Contract. The project is sales tax exempt. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the bid and to reject any and all bids. 1. Materials and Labor: a. Provide all labor and materials to complete the work as shown on the attached drawings and specifications for the North Terminal Renovation at Burlington International Airport (BTV). 2. Schedule: a. There is no restriction on the hours the contractor is allowed to perform work. Coordination with the airport is required to determine a schedule that allows for the shortest construction duration while minimizing impacts to passengers and airport operations. b. All work must be completed within the 180 calendar day contract time. The period for questions will be open until 14:00 Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
