Runway 2-20 Sealcoat

Saline County Regional Airport Commission will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Runway 2-20 Sealcoat project at the Saline County Regional Airport. The work is generally described as follows: Project includes cleaning cracks and sealcoating Runway 2-20. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total bid is required and shall be made payable to the Saline County Regional Airport Commission. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Other federal provisions in the contract documents include, but are not limited to the following: Affirmative Action Requirement: 1. The Offeror's or Bidder's attention is called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and the "Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications" set forth in the contract documents. 2. The goals and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: Goals for minority participation: 16.4% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% A DBE contract goal of 18.4% percent has been established for this contract. The bidder/offeror shall make good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A, 49 CFR Part 26 (Attachment 6), to meet the contract goal for DBE participation in the performance of this contract. Mechanics and laborers on the project shall be paid not less than the minimum hourly rates set out in Wage Determination No. AR20200175, U.S. Department of Labor, a reproduction of which is bound in the contract documents. The Saline County Regional Airport Commission reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interests.
