Description

Replacement of existing windows on the first floor of the Town Office Building at 1 Academy street in Swanton, Vermont. A list of existing windows illustrating their approximate dimensions and quality by room is included as part of this bid request. The replacement windows must match the existing windows in size and style. No doors are part of this project. Additional replacement window requirements are noted below. Window Replacement Project Requirements: 1. Provide labor & materials for the replacement of all existing windows in the Town's historic Town Office Building at 1 Academy Street. 2. Windows to match existing windows in size & style. 3. Windows to be energy efficient with a LOW-E rating. 4. Existing windows require complete removal of inner and outer frames. 5. Inner and outer frames of replacement windows must be constructed of wood and entire perimeter of frame must be insulated around the frame and sealed against air leaks. The Contractor is responsible for painting and/or staining the wooden parts where needed. 6. Window muntins may be non-wooden. 7. Replacement windows must be manufactured by a reputable company.
