Description | Contract Documents will be available on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Contract Documents may be obtained through Camelot Business Document Services, 630 Columbia Street Extension, Latham, New York 12110; Phone: 518.435.9696. Electronic download is available online with a non-refundable payment in the amount of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) for each download request. Please note: Hard Copy Sets must be returned unmarked and in good condition before 3/22/23 to receive a refund. For questions please send an email to camelotbids@teamcamelot.com. Compact disc is available with a non-refundable payment of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) for each disk. Accepted payment will be credit card or a check made payable to "Camelot Business Document Services". UPS Ground Service will be the standard method of delivery of hard or compact disc copies, unless requested otherwise. Non-refundable delivery charges shall be determined by Camelot Business Document Services at time of shipment. A non-refundable payment for delivery may be made by credit card or a check made payable to "Camelot Business Document Services". Upon request, hard or compact disc copies may also be delivered UPS Next Day Service using the same payment method above. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Hoosick Falls Central School District, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, for a sum equal to 5% of the base bid amount. A Bidder may submit a certified check in lieu of a Bid Bond. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required of each successful Bidder, each Bond for the full amount of the contract price in accordance with the Contract Documents. If a Bidder fails to execute the agreement in the Contract Documents or to furnish the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond within ten (10) days from the date on which they are notified that their Bid has been accepted, their Bid Bond or certified check and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Owner. No Bid will be considered unless received at the specified time, date, address, and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Any Bid may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid opening time or any publicized postponement thereof. Any Bid received after the time and date stated above will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for forty-five (45) days after the bid opening. Successful Bidders will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The Owner is a New York State Governmental entity and is exempt from payment of Federal Excise Tax, Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and of cities, counties and other subdivisions of the State. No sales tax is to be paid on labor and materials incorporated in the work. The construction site shall be maintained during the entire construction period as drug-free, alcohol-free, tobacco-free, and weapon-free. Bidders are hereby advised that compliance with "Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, Part 155" will be required. Bids will be evaluated in general conformance with the criteria presented in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which it deems to be in its best interest. The Owner reserves the right to revise or amend the Contract Documents prior to the date set for the opening of bids. Such revisions or amendments will be announced to the prospective Bidders by Addenda to the Contract Documents. Receipt of Addenda, if issued, shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form. |
