Construction of the Runway 4-22 Rehabilitation at the Essex County Airport

Includes pavement rehabilitation to Runway 4-22 (approximately 4,550` x 80`), as well as adjacent taxiway and crosswind runway tie-in. The total area of pavement to be addressed is approximately 385,000 SF. The project will include the following: 1. Full depth pavement removal and replacement on approximately 1,800 LF of Runway 4-22. Also included is minor regrading and compaction of crushed aggregate base course. 2. 3" milling and replacement of existing bituminous asphalt surface course on approximately 2,750 LF of Runway 4-22. 3. Interim and permanent pavement markings. 4. Pavement grooving. 5. Minor edge of pavement regrading/restoration as required to meet safety area requirements.
