Replace Ballistic Glass and Paint Doors - Military

1. Replace Bullet Proof Glass Bldg 1 The contractor shall remove and dispose of current glass in facility 1 that has deteriorated. Contractor shall supply and install bullet proof glass to conform to the attached specifications from the original construction. Submitted specifications should meet or exceed requirements and substitutions are approved if they meet or exceed the requirements. Contractor shall perform field measurements for verification of all dimensions. Surrounding finishes that are disturbed shall be repaired. Dimensions to be field verified by contractor include: Two - 38” x 50” windows Two - 62” x 50” windows 2. Replace Bullet Proof Door Bldg 1 The contractor shall remove and dispose of bulletproof door in facility 1 that has deteriorated. Contractor shall supply and install bullet proof door with glass window conform to the attached specifications from the original construction. Submitted specifications should meet or exceed requirements and substitutions are approved if they meet or exceed the requirements. Contractor shall perform field measurements for verification of all dimensions. Surrounding finishes that are disturbed shall be repaired. Dimensions to be field verified by contractor include: One - 36” x 80” door with 25” x 38” window 3. Painting of doors and Frames Bldg 1 Contractor shall sand, prepare, and paint all doors (3) and window frames (4). Contractor shall follow recommendation of SSPC. Correct minor defects and clean surfaces affecting work. Apply all surface email latex primer un unprimed finishes. Apply two coats of waterborne acrylic semi-gloss enamel (1.3 mils per dry coat). Provide paint color sample for approval of color. Existing color is SW 7523 Burnished Brandy.
