Replacement of Greenwood Avenue Bridge

Replacement of the Greenwood Avenue Bridge (No. 0200-35C) and improvements to several associated features including utility lines and stormwater outfalls. The proposed project involves the full replacement of the Greenwood Avenue Bridge with a minor span of the roadway, relocation of stormwater outfalls through the proposed 3-sided rigid frame walls, the implementation of various drainage improvements, the relocation of an existing gas main to a notched utility bay at the north end of the bridge, and the relocation of an existing water main through the walls of the proposed 3-sided rigid frame. The existing Greenwood Avenue Bridge will be replaced with a single span structure consisting of a precast concrete 3-sided rigid frame on cast-in-place reinforced concrete footings. The cast-in-place footing and 3-sided rigid frame construction will be facilitated by the installation of temporary cofferdams as depicted on the Contract Plans.
