Description | Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge Pit Toilet Roof Repair - Storm Damage Statement of Work SCOPE: This statement of work is for repair of the pit toilet roof at Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge. The roof was damaged when a tree fell on top of it during a late May storm. The original design of the pit toilet is included in attached blueprints. The roof (per original design) was constructed out of structural insulated panels (SIPs) that are no longer being manufactured by the original company. Given that SIPs are no longer available, a repair will need to be designed. Design drawings and specifications should be provided to the refuge manager for approval, prior to conducting work. Structural lumber should be added to the entire damaged side of the roof spanning from the soffit to the peak. The rigid foam portion should be notched out for the structural panel, this allows the insulation and FRP to be reused. The skylight appears undamaged and can be reused The stack collar will need to be replaced The metal roof will need to be replaced on both sides so the colors match. The metal fascia should be replaced as well to ensure it matches the new roof. The roof panels are an exposed fastener ribbed system. The soffits can be rolled from metal coil stock if a preformed piece isn't available. Pictures are provided for reference, but a site visit is strongly recommended for this project. LOCATION: Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge, W28488 Refuge Rd, Trempealeau, WI 54661. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance is set to be completed by 10/31/2022. Period of Performance: 09/15/2022 to 10/31/2022 WORK SCHEDULE: Work will be performed Monday - Friday, except on Federal Holidays.
