Description | The Elizabeth and Rombach Traffic Signal Construction Project is a design-build project. The proposed project includes constructing a new mast arm traffic signal complete and in-place at the intersection of Rombach Avenue and Elizabeth Lane in Wilmington, Ohio. The work also includes adjusting and replacing pavement markings, signage, and constructing two (2) new ADA-compliant curb ramps. The traffic signal pole supports and arms are being procured by the City in a Materials-Only bid package and will be available to the DBT on or before February 1, 2023. Complete digital Project Bidding Documents must be obtained from website. All bidders must register and be a member of the web service to bid on the Project. All proposals shall be submitted electronically through the web service website. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful bidder must replace the bid guaranty with a one-hundred percent Performance Bond upon award of the bid. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than June 30, 2023. The contractor shall pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the minimum wages in accordance with the Prevailing Wage Schedules published by the Ohio Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration, effective during the period of the Contract, as provided for in Section 4115.16 of the Ohio Revised Code. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days of the actual date of the bid opening thereof. The Board of Control of the City of Wilmington reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bids. |
