NAICS 237990 SIZE STANDARD $39.5 MILLION PROJECT TITLE/LOCATION: KETCHIKAN BAR POINT HARBOR BREAKWATER REPLACEMENT AT KETCHIKAN, ALASKA TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE BEST VALUE TRADE-OFF FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONTRACT: CONSTRUCTION WAGE RATES (DAVIS BACON) SHALL APPLY DESCRIPTION: Replacement of tw o floating breakw aters at Bar Point Harbor in Ketchikan, Alaska. Bar Point Harbor is currently protected by floating breakw aters held in place by anchor chains and anchor blocks. A small floating breakw ater protects the middle entrance channel and is approximately 120 ft long and 23 ft w ide. A larger floating breakw ater protects the harbor and is 963 feet long consisting of four concrete modules 23 ft w ide each; connected using posttensioned w ire cables. Both floating breakw aters have surpassed their estimated lifespan and need to be replaced. The project w ill include demolition of the existing breakw aters and replacement w ith new , reinforced concrete float-type breakw aters. The breakw aters w ill be moored by chains and concrete anchor blocks. The Contractor shall comply w ith commercial and industry standards as w ell as all applicable Federal, State, and local law s, regulations and procedures.
