Description | The work in general consists of the following approximate quantities: 1. Installation of 8, 10 and 12 gravity sewer for an approximate total length of 4,500 ft. 2. The allotted construction time is 180 calendar days to substantial completion and 210 calendar days to final completion. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. The City of Johnson City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids, and to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors in the State of Tennessee, as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994, State of Tennessee. The State Contractors License bid envelope form must be completed and attached to outer envelope. A copy of the State Contractors License shall be included with the bid package. Contractors must comply with all Drug Free Requirements. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. |
