Aeration Diffuser Replacement

The Scope of this Work is the removal and replacement of three-hundred and twenty (320) existing tubular membrane fine-bubble diffusers in the Plant’s existing two (2) activated sludge aeration tanks. The installation of the new diffusers shall reuse all existing aeration piping as well as the existing diffuser grid at the bottom of the basin(s). Also included in the Scope of Work is complete removal and disposal of accumulated biosolids deposits generally consisting of grit, snail shells, and biomass in both Aeration Basins No.1 and No.2. The volume of biosolids to be removed is estimated at 740 CY; this is the quantity included in the Base Bid price. If actual volumes of biosolids removed is greater than or less than 5%± of the assumed quantity of 740 CY, a Change Order shall be issues to adjust final payment for actual quantity removed using the Contractor’s submitted Bid Price for the Supplementary Unit Price for biosolid removal.
