2020 Community Park at the Recreation Center of Highland Park

Construction of new pathways, rehabilitation of existing pathways and removal of existing pathways, to create a “Gateway Trail,” “Connector Trail,” “Secondary Trails” and accessible pathways leading to key amenities. Restoration of disturbed areas corresponding to the overall project planting plan. Construction of the following amenities that include built structures (trail stubs, stone benches, seat walls, outcroppings, pervious pavement areas, and specialized gardens): -Gateway Trail South Access -Gateway Trail Boardwalk/Overlook -View Seating Area (North Pond) -Pollination (Exploration) Garden -North Pond Overlook -Council Ring/Nature Maze -Sand Play/Picnic Area -Entry Plaza Restoration of approximately 2,250 lf of North Pond shoreline with regrading of slopes, installation of live plants and native seeds on the shoreline and in wetland buffer areas.
