Description | The high water level in Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay is causing shoreline slope erosion that is nearing the edge of M-22. There are multiple locations along S West Bayshore Drive where significant shoreline slope erosion is impacting M-22. The locations are described below. It is recommended the potential bidders conduct a site visit to determine the exact nature of the work 1. 11600 S West Bayshore Drive: This area is approximately 12’ above the water. There is guardrail along this location to work around. There are trees, stumps, and vegetation to remove to construct this slope per details. The location is approximately 125’ long. The ROW along this section is 100’ wide; 50’ each side of centerline. 2. 10810 S West Bayshore Drive: This area is approximately 10’ above the water. There are trees, stumps, and vegetation to remove to construct this slope per details. There are 2 large stumps in the water at this location to be removed. The location is approximately 100’ long. The ROW along this section is 100’ wide; 50’ each side of centerline. 3. 9072 S West Bayshore Drive: This area is approximately 10’ - 12’ above the water. There is guardrail along this location to work around. There are trees, stumps, and vegetation to remove to construct this slope per details. The location is approximately 50’ long. The ROW along this section is 100’ wide; 50’ each side of centerline. 4. 4756 S West Bayshore Drive: This area is approximately 8’ – 10’’ above the water. There is guardrail along this location to work around. There are trees, stumps, and vegetation to remove to construct this slope per details. The location is approximately 100’ long. The ROW along this section is 120’ wide; 60’ each side of centerline. |
