Water Main Replacement - Huntington Subdivision - Village of Northbrook

As part of the Village's Water Fund review and water rate study, a water main replacement program was included. The program's focus is to replace 6-inch cast iron main within the water distribution system, as this main is historically the worst performing. The replacement of water mains in the Huntington Subdivision coincides with the scheduled asphalt rehabilitation project in the same area. The map that follows illustrates the planned area for water main replacement in this fiscal year. As of January 2, 2024, this project is included in the city's 2024 budget and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and funding is allotted for FY2024-2029. Per owner an engineer has been selected and design phase has started with expected construction in Spring/Summer 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
