Description | The project consists of furnishing complete and installation of improvements to the rehabilitation of the Baldwinsville-Seneca Knolls Clarifier. Generally, the project consists of upgrading the two (2) primary settling tanks, two (2) first stage secondary settling tanks, and three (3) second stage secondary settling tanks. The primary tank upgrades consist of replacement of sludge collectors and drives, weirs, baffles, scum trough, in-tank piping and link seals, and two influent slide gates, along with concrete repair and coating and installation of railing gates. The secondary settling tank upgrades consist of replacement of sludge collectors and drives, weirs, baffles, scum trough, in-tank piping and link seals, along with concrete repair and coating and installation of railing gates. Electrical improvements shall include electrical grounding and lighting protections for tank infrastructure, new electrical feed and local controls for the settling tanks and MCC rehabilitation. Instrumentation upgrades consist of new PLCs for all tanks, and SCADA instrumentation and controls. A Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) utilization goal of 18% and a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) utilization goal of 12% have been established for the project. Questions shall be submitted via email to the Division of Purchase to the attention of Bernie Mahoney at bernardmahoney@ongov.net Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information For Bidders. In addition, the Contractor shall be required to provide a "Statement of Surety's Intent" with his bid. Bidder shall be prepared to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract amount. The Bidders should not include in their bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated into the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids. |
